Prof. Dr. Heinz-Walter Große
Chairman of the Advisory Board
Professor Dr. Heinz-Walter Große joined the Finance Department of B. Braun Melsungen AG in 1978. His career took him via the USA and the management of B. Braun Austria to the position of Chief Financial Officer of B. Braun Melsungen AG in 2005. From 2008, he was also responsible for Human Resources and Legal Affairs as Labor Director. In 2009, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Management Board; from April 2011 until his retirement in March 2019, he held the position of Chairman of the Management Board. From 2018 to March 2023, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Group subsidiary Aesculap AG.
From 2015 to 2023, Professor Große took on the honorary chairmanship of SAFRI (Sub-Saharan Africa Initiative of German Business), sponsored by the Africa Association of German Business (AV), the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA) and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK).
As Chairman of the Advisory Board, Große will focus on the further development of the Group.
