During CHB Group’s participation in the Compact with Africa (CwA) 2023 Summit on November 20th, 2023, in Berlin, CEO Carl Heinrich Bruhn used the occasion to introduce Tonye Cole as a new Advisory Board member as well as sign a memorandum of understanding with Sahel Resources Ltd.

CHB Group’s mission is to drive the green energy transition in the EU. Increasing geopolitical tensions are interrupting traditional value chains and compelling manufacturers to source in alternative regions of origin for critical raw materials. Africa will play a crucial role in supplying markets in the future. Through The Critical Minerals Fund (TCMF), CHB Group aims to invest in critical raw materials value chains in Africa. CHB Group believes this can only be successful if pursued with the support of local communities. One of CHB Group’s highest priorities is to bring value addition to local communities with every TCMF project, creating jobs and increasing wealth.

This is precisely the endeavor that Tonye Cole is looking to support. Cole is a well-known Nigerian entrepreneur, Co-Founder and former Group Executive Director of Sahara Group, an energy and infrastructure conglomerate with roots in Nigeria and operations spanning the entire energy chain in over 42 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe & the Middle East. A philanthropist, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare, Cole is an influential figure in Nigeria’s business landscape. With his rich experience he joins the CHB group Advisory Board and will advise on investment opportunities in Africa.
